About this speaker
Jillian is an actor, writer, improviser, and clown currently training in commedia dell’arte with the Company of Angels in Los Angeles. She began her professional career at The Hangar Theatre in Ithaca, NY, where she made her Equity debut in the world premiere of Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa’s Rough Magic.
Her original play The Widow and The Nun had a successful run at Stomping Grounds LA and as writer/performer of The Color Collective, UCB and The Pack Theatre she has produced comedy at major festivals including Del Close Marathon (NYC), SF SketchFest, Chicago Sketch Fest, Second City’s Diversity Comedy Festival and for the Comedy Central Stage.
A theatre kid turned comedy writer, her work blends absurdity and intellect with a sharp satirical lens on culture and society—always compassionate, always a little dumb. Jillian is currently in production for the film Apology Kitchen which she wrote and will perform.
