Christy Faison

Christy Faison’s love for movies began as a child, moving frequently and finding solace in the magic of storytelling on the big screen. That passion eventually led her to Los Angeles, where she launched her casting career at FOX before moving into independent casting. She was mentored by esteemed casting directors Jeanie Bacharach, Risa Bramon Garcia, and Lauren Grey—an experience that shaped her eye and deepened her understanding of the actor’s process.

As a Casting Director, Christy has cast series and pilots for NBC, CBS, HBO, and Showtime, including Jonathan Demme’s A Gifted Man, CBS’s SEAL Team, NBC’s The Cape, and Showtime’s The Affair. Her credits also include Aaron Sorkin’s The Newsroom, Ash vs Evil Dead, Stargate Origins, and Terrence Malick’s Knight of Cups. She also cast the Emmy-nominated Conversations in LA, The Walking Dead: Red Machete, and dozens of independent films.

After years in Los Angeles, Christy relocated to Atlanta, expanding her work with actors in the Southeast while continuing to teach and coach online across the U.S. and internationally. She’s taught in Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, and New Zealand, and served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Texas.

Today, her coaching practice blends the insight of a seasoned casting director with a passion for helping actors bring clarity, specificity, and presence to their work.
